On Saturday, February 24th, our organization hosted our first ever community event, titled Get-to-Know Hayward. We had a wonderful time together and met a few new friends along the way!

Our day started by meeting on the California State University East Bay parking lot where we would all carpool together to various locations. We spoke, laughed, and had breakfast together.

Afterwards, we volunteered to pick up trash with the Keep Hayward Green Task Force around Tyrell Elementary School.

We then had a nice lunch of sandwiches we made together at the Hayward Botanical Japanese Gardens.

Which took us later to the Hayward Historical Society Museum to learn about local history and culture.

And we ended our day at the local Hi-Scores Arcade and got a treat of frozen yogurt before heading back to campus.

That concluded our Get-to-Know Hayward event. Thank you to everyone who participated! We hope to see you again and many new friends as well.

Thank you for reading.
